Cancellation Policy

This cancellation policy applies only to consumers (natural persons acting for purposes outside their trade, business, or profession, § 13 BGB). Businesses within the meaning of § 14 BGB have no statutory right of withdrawal.
Part 1: Right of Withdrawal
Withdrawal Right
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
Part 2: Early Expiry of the Right of Withdrawal for Digital Content

The right of withdrawal expires pursuant to § 356(5) BGB if you consent in the order process to immediate performance and confirm your knowledge of the loss of your right of withdrawal. This is done through the corresponding checkboxes in the checkout process.
Legal Basis (§ 356(5) BGB)
For a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal also expires if the trader has begun performance after the consumer:
- has expressly consented to the trader beginning performance before the expiry of the withdrawal period, and
- has confirmed knowledge that consent to the beginning of performance results in the loss of the right of withdrawal.
Application to AutoAlt.ai
AutoAlt.ai is a service for the delivery of digital content (AI-generated alt texts) and a digital service (SaaS platform). Performance begins with the crediting of credits to your customer account, as the credits can be used immediately from that point.
In the order process, before completing the purchase, you will be asked to actively consent to the following two declarations (separate, non-pre-checked checkboxes):
Checkboxes in the Checkout Process:
Checkbox 1: “I expressly consent to webAufstieg GmbH commencing performance of the contract immediately and crediting the credits to my account without delay.”
Checkbox 2: “I acknowledge that my right of withdrawal expires upon the crediting of credits to my customer account, as performance of the contract has thereby commenced. I have read the Cancellation Policy.”
Legal consequence: If you have consented to both declarations and the credits are credited to your account, your right of withdrawal expires pursuant to § 356(5) BGB. This applies to both one-time purchases (bulk packages, credit packs) and subscriptions.
Confirmation on a Durable Medium
After completing the order, you will receive an order confirmation email documenting:
- Your express consent to immediate performance
- Your confirmation of knowledge of the loss of the right of withdrawal
- The timestamp of credit crediting
- The statement that the right of withdrawal has expired upon credit crediting
Supplement: Voluntary 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, webAufstieg GmbH grants a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee for all paid products (bulk packages, subscriptions, and credit packs).
Condition: At the time of the refund request, no more than 5% of the purchased credits (max. 100 credits) may have been consumed. If this condition is met, a full refund is issued without deductions. If the threshold is exceeded, there is no entitlement to a refund under this guarantee.
Full terms can be found in § 7 of our Terms of Service. The guarantee is available to both consumers and businesses.
